The credit reporting agencies make it impossible to correct inaccuracies or get info updated properly.

I have always wondered about that and why banks, credit card companies, etc, take their word that what they have is correct. These boards are full of people who are constantly trying to find out how they can get incorrect info off their reports. And it turns out to be nightmare city. Yet the credit bureaus are willing to take whatever is given to them. I feel they should be accountable to some regulations.

No, although everyone relies on the credit reporting agencies for so many reasons, they are still not above the law. If they truly are involved in unfair business practices, then they can be sued.
good question. as far as i know they answer to no one. they rule your life but are rarely held accountable. maybe obama should go after them too.
