I wanted to check into refinancing my mortgage, and have a few times…the company ran hard inquiries. So now, I have 6 hard inquiries on my report and I’m afraid to try to refinance again because I don’t want my credit score to drop even more, its already dropped to 730, which I know is still a decent score, but I was under the impression that they drop off your credit report after 2 years? I have a few from November and December of 2007 when I originally got the mortgage. Shouldn’t they be gone by now, and if so how do I go about getting them off the report? Thanks!
Mrs Yajomi…do you really think I am dumb enough to fall for your scam?
Please no one take advice from this person, she has responded with the same answer to 16 other people just today with any kind of question about financing.

You are correct, they should fall off after 2 yrs. You can get them removed by disputing them and saying they are older than 2 yrs, please remove. Also while most disputes should NEVER be done online or over the phone, disputing inquiries are the exception and they should remove them instantly. Usually if you apply for the same type of loan.. refinancing, car etc they will lump all inquiries within a 2 week period as one request and it will only cost you 1 drop in scores. Now they will list them all on your report but it won’t hit your score individually so if they were in a close time period, don’t expect your score to jump more than 3-5 pts.
Good luck
