Ordered 3-in-1 credit report from transunion, can’t dispute experian and equifax?
Feb, 2010 in Transunion Credit ReportHello, I ordered my 3-in-1 report from transunion.. this cost me $40. There were major errors on all three reports. I was able to do the dispute process online from transunion, but could not find a section to dispute experian and equifax? I tried calling them and they said I would need an official report from then, which I don’t think is fair because I ordered a 3-in-1! What is this some kind of scam?
Also, I had already used up my free reports from annualcreditreport.com 6 months ago, so I am kind of in a bind. Please help!
EDIT: funny how it says ”
You can dispute certain items online with Equifax if you have an active Equifax credit
report file number.
You can also file a dispute with Equifax via mail.
Equifax
P.O. Box 740241
Atlanta, GA 30374-0241″
I can dispute experian, but now I have to buy a report from equifax??

You should be able to go to either Equifax or Experian on line to dispute the reports.
I would first call trans union and see if they can offer any assistance. Also most of the time when and item is being reported by a company that is inaccurate they will pull it off of all reports. You should have the contact info on your reports from the companies that have the inaccurate information. Send them a letter ( by certified mail so you can get a receipt) and demand they delete the Information from all the credit reporting companies. As long as you have at least one credit reporting company investigating I would not worry at this point.
Just order your free credit reports from annualcreditreport.com or call them toll free # 1-877-322-8228 for all 3 free reports. There should be a reference # on each report. Just call their # and put in the reference #, that will transfer you to a live person.(1) Trans Union 1-877-322-8228 (2) Equitfax 1-800-525-6285 (3) Experian (3) 1-888-397-3742.
