When inquiries drop off your credit report, does it cause your credit score to increase?
Jan, 2010 in Build Your CreditIf you had 20 inquiries on your credit report from 2 yrs. back, and recently they dropped off, would it jump your credit score up?

your inquires should have dropped off anywhere between 6mo-1yr, depending on what the inquiry was. And yes the score will increase although it may not increase by much. It all depends on how many inquires there were. If you had 5+ you may notice a decent jump
Not really, credit scores are over 90% based on the last 24-months of activity and anything that is old enough to drop off on it’s own is having very little affect on your score.
And yes inquiries do show for 2-years from the date made but only really affect your score for the first 8-12 months.
inquiries don’t have much weight
